MNVs located in the 3'UTR regions of protein-coding genes have the potential to regulate gene transcription by affecting microRNA binding sites (miRBS). To comprehensively delineate these effects, we evaluated miRBS activity between wild-type and MNV-mutated 3'UTR sequences using both TargetScan and miRanda. Our analysis revealed a total of 70,794 MNVs resulting in 320,545 differential MNV-miRBS pairs, comprising 156,288 gained and 164,257 lost MNV-miRBS pairs. Similarly, we examined the differential miRBS between wild-type and MNV-mutated lncRNAs and identified 361,197 MNVs potentially leading to 1,743,884 differential MNV-miRBS pairs.
MNVmiRBSdb consists of three modules: . On the 'Search' page, users can query the impacts of MNVs on miRBS by entering the corresponding information. On the 'Predict' page, users can conduct online predictions regarding the effects of MNVs on miRBS between wild-type and mutated sequences. On the 'Download' page, users can download related information.
In MNVmiRBSdb, you can:
Query the effects of MNVs on miRBS predicted by two methods.
Visualize the effects of MNVs through a sequence graph.
Perform online predictions of the effects of MNVs submitted by users.
Download differential MNV-miRBS pairs.
